Essential oils offered by ASTI are obtained through steam destillation or CO 2 extraction method of a given plant material resulting in the production of a liquid and fragrant substance. A characteristic element of essential oils consists in their high volatility, the uniform and standardised natural aroma and a high microbiological purity. Moreover, essential oils do not contain tanning agents, water or impurities due to which they do not affect the colour and moistness of the final product. Essential oils are widely used in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
